A hood and a heavy fleece served as training kit long before streetwear claimed them. Fighters wore them to hold heat through a warm-up and keep it through the walk home in winter. We still cut them for that job, so the shoulders sit wider and the sleeves run longer than a fashion fleece.
From the warm-up to the walk home
Buy them as a pair or buy them apart, both work. A fleece and a trackie together read as a set on the street, while either one on its own slots under whatever else the wardrobe already holds.
